Bulk Export and Import Companies in HighLevel
HighLevel supports bulk CSV export and import for Company records – the same way Contact imports work. Export existing companies as a CSV for backup or migration. Import a CSV of company records to populate the CRM from an external database. During import, map CSV columns to company fields, apply a tag to the import batch for tracking, and configure duplicate handling. Access company import and export from the Companies section in the Contacts area of the sub-account.
Exporting Company Records
Navigate to Contacts, then the Companies tab. Find the export option in the page actions.
The exported CSV includes standard company fields – company name, industry, address, website, phone – plus any company-level Custom Fields configured in the sub-account.
Company exports are useful for data backup, for migrating company records to another system, or for analysis in external tools.
Importing Company Records
Prepare a CSV with company data – company name, domain, industry, address, and any other fields to import. Include a header row with descriptive column names.
In the Companies section, find the import option. Upload the CSV, map columns to company fields, configure duplicate handling (update existing by domain match or skip duplicates), and apply an import tag to identify the batch.
After import, verify by searching for specific companies from the CSV and checking their fields. The import tag Smart List shows all companies from that batch.
Company Data and Contact Relationships
Company records imported via CSV are standalone – they are not automatically linked to existing contact records.
After import, link contacts to companies individually or use bulk actions to associate contacts with their company based on a shared field like email domain.
Maintaining company records linked to the right contacts enables accurate B2B pipeline tracking and account-level reporting.
