What Is GoKollab in HighLevel?
GoKollab is a public community marketplace built by HighLevel.
Community owners list their groups on GoKollab so people browsing the marketplace can discover and join – without the owner having to run ads or manually invite everyone.
It works alongside HighLevel’s community feature, not instead of it. Groups are built, configured, and managed inside HighLevel.
GoKollab adds a public-facing discovery layer on top.
Think of it as a directory for communities. Someone interested in business coaching, fitness accountability, or industry networking can browse GoKollab and find relevant groups to join – including yours.
How Does the Marketplace Work?
The GoKollab discovery page lists communities that have been activated for the marketplace.
Each listing shows the community name, description, cover image, category, and member count. A prospective member clicks a listing to view the community profile and join directly.
If the community is free and public, they get in immediately. If it has a paid subscription, they complete payment before gaining access.
If it is private, they submit a join request for admin approval.
The owner controls all of that inside HighLevel. GoKollab handles the discovery side.
Kollab Studio
Kollab Studio is the admin interface for managing your GoKollab presence.
Access it by going to Memberships, then Communities, and clicking the three-dot menu next to your community. From there you can manage your marketplace listing profile, configure Community Affiliates, and access GoKollab-specific settings.
The listing profile in Kollab Studio is what prospective members see on the discovery page. A clear description, strong cover image, and accurate category all affect whether someone clicks through to join.
Community Affiliates
Community Affiliates is GoKollab’s built-in referral program for paid communities.
Once enabled, every paid member of your community gets a personal referral link in their affiliate dashboard. When someone joins using that link and pays, the referring member earns a commission.
You set the commission percentage in Kollab Studio under the Affiliates section. The rate applies to every paid membership sold through a referral link – one-time or recurring.
Payouts are not automated. You download an earnings report from the Affiliates panel, see which members earned what, and pay them directly via whatever method you have agreed on.
This feature is exclusive to GoKollab paid communities and is separate from HighLevel’s broader Affiliate Manager tool, which handles product and funnel-based programs.
Eligibility and Requirements
There is one hard requirement for discovery page visibility: your community group must have at least 10 members.
You can activate the GoKollab listing before reaching 10, but the community will not appear in the marketplace until the threshold is met. Once you cross 10 members, visibility activates automatically.
If your group drops below 10 members, the listing disappears from the discovery page until the count recovers. The activation stays in place – you do not need to re-activate.
There are no other plan-level requirements beyond having an active HighLevel account with the community feature enabled.
What Can You Do With It?
- Get discovered without advertising: List your community on the GoKollab discovery page and reach people actively looking for communities in your niche – without a paid ad campaign.
- Grow a paid community with marketplace traffic: Connect a subscription price to your GoKollab listing and earn recurring revenue from members who find you through the marketplace.
- Turn members into recruiters: Enable Community Affiliates so paid members earn commissions for referring new members – your best customers become your growth channel.
- Automate new member onboarding: Connect the Group Access Granted workflow trigger to automatically send a welcome sequence, apply tags, and enroll new members in a course the moment they join.
- Run a free community as a lead funnel: List a free group on GoKollab to capture leads and move engaged members into a paid offer over time.
- Offer GoKollab listing as an agency service: Activate and manage listings for client sub-account communities as part of a community growth retainer.

Use Cases by Industry
Business Coaching and Consulting
A business coach lists a free community on GoKollab as a top-of-funnel lead source. Members browse the marketplace, join the free group, and engage with weekly content and live Q&A sessions.
A workflow tags every new GoKollab member and drops them into a 14-day nurture sequence promoting the paid mastermind group. The free community becomes a self-filling pipeline.
Result: The coach captures warm leads passively through marketplace discovery rather than relying entirely on social media or ad spend.
Online Education
An educator lists a paid course community on GoKollab at $97 per month. Community Affiliates is enabled at 20%, so existing students share their referral links in their own networks.
Every new member who joins through a referral link generates a commission for the referring student – tracked automatically in the Affiliates dashboard.
Result: Word-of-mouth referrals become measurable and rewarded, turning course graduates into an active sales channel.
Marketing Agencies
An agency builds a client community strategy that includes GoKollab listing as a standard deliverable. Each client sub-account gets its own marketplace listing configured in Kollab Studio.
The agency charges a setup fee and a monthly management retainer covering listing optimization, affiliate program management, and onboarding workflow maintenance.
Result: GoKollab becomes a recurring revenue line for the agency and a differentiated service clients cannot easily replicate themselves.
Fitness and Wellness
A fitness coach lists a $47 per month accountability community on GoKollab with a 7-day free trial. Community Affiliates pays members 15% for every referral that converts to a paying subscription.
Active members who are already seeing results are the most motivated referrers – they share naturally and the commission gives them an extra reason to do it consistently.
Result: Member referrals drive a meaningful portion of new signups each month without any additional ad budget.
Professional Associations
An industry association lists their member community on GoKollab to reach professionals outside their existing network. The listing highlights member benefits, events, and exclusive resources.
New members who join from the marketplace are automatically tagged and enrolled in a welcome sequence that introduces them to key channels, upcoming events, and the community leaderboard.
Result: The association grows its member base beyond the reach of its own email list and direct outreach.

How to List Your Community on GoKollab
Step 1: Build your community group first
Go to Memberships, then Communities, and create your community and at least one group.
Make sure the group has a name, description, branding assets, and at least one channel before moving to the marketplace step.
Step 2: Reach 10 members
Use the Invite Members button inside the group to bring in your first members.
You need at least 10 before the listing appears on the GoKollab discovery page. Invite existing clients, email subscribers, or social followers to seed the group.
Step 3: Activate the Kollab Marketplace listing
Go to your sub-account, then Memberships, then Kollab Marketplace, and click Activate Now.
This connects your community to the GoKollab discovery page.
Step 4: Configure your listing in Kollab Studio
Click the three-dot menu next to your community in Memberships to open Kollab Studio.
Complete your listing profile with a community name, description, cover image, and category. This is what prospective members see when they find you on the discovery page.
Step 5: Set up paid access if needed
Go to Group Settings, then Subscriptions to configure a one-time or recurring price.
Make sure your HighLevel Payments account is connected to Stripe, NMI, or Authorize.net before publishing a paid listing.
Step 6: Enable Community Affiliates
In Kollab Studio, click the three-dot menu next to your community and select Affiliates.
Set your commission percentage. Paid members will immediately see their referral link in their affiliate dashboard inside the community.
Step 7: Tell your members the affiliate program exists
Post an announcement in your community explaining how the referral link works and what members earn per referral.
Most referral activity comes from members who are explicitly reminded – do not assume they will find the link on their own.
Step 8: Build a new member onboarding workflow
In Workflow Builder, create a workflow using the Group Access Granted trigger.
Add a welcome SMS or email, apply a tag to identify the source as GoKollab, and optionally enroll the new member in an orientation course.
Step 9: Monitor and pay out affiliate commissions
Check the Affiliates panel in Kollab Studio regularly to see earnings by member.
Download the report, confirm which members are owed commissions, and pay them directly via your agreed method.

To Wrap It Up
GoKollab solves a real problem for community builders: getting discovered.
Most people who would benefit from your community will never find it through your social posts or email list alone. GoKollab puts your community in front of people who are actively browsing and looking for exactly what you offer.
The feature is simple to activate and requires almost no ongoing management once the listing is live and the affiliate program is set up.
The main work is getting to 10 members, building a solid listing profile, and making sure your members know the referral program exists. The Community Affiliates piece is consistently underused – owners set it up and never mention it to their community.
The members most likely to refer are the ones already engaged and seeing results. They just need to know the link exists.
Here is how to get started:
- Build your community group inside HighLevel if you have not already
- Get to 10 members before expecting discovery page visibility
- Go to Memberships, then Kollab Marketplace, and click Activate Now
- Open Kollab Studio and complete your listing profile with a strong description and cover image
- Configure pricing in Group Settings, then Subscriptions if running a paid community
- Enable Community Affiliates in Kollab Studio and set your commission rate
- Post an announcement telling your members about the referral program
- Build a Group Access Granted workflow to automate new member onboarding
- Check the Affiliates panel monthly and pay out earned commissions manually
The listing profile matters more than most people expect. A vague description and generic cover image will not convert browsers into members even if the community itself is excellent.
Spend time on the copy and visuals before going live.
